"Heinrich PIEROTH (1893-1964) was a photographer in Mayen and focused his work entirely on his home region. From the 1920s to the 1950s, he captured the landscapes, their inhabitants and their everyday life in the southeast of the Eifel in impressive photographs. The Rheinisches Bildarchiv (RBA), based in Cologne, looks after the photographic estate of Heinrich PIEROTH, large parts of which are now being published for the first time.
