Background information
"Coinciding with the eponymous exhibition running simultaneously at the Nietzsche-Haus, Segantini Museum and Hauser & Wirth Gallery in St. Moritz, the volume 'Gerhard Richter: Engadin' explores the prominent German artist's profound relationship with the Engadine region of the Swiss Alps, which he first visited in the late 1980s. In an essay by exhibition curator Dieter Schwarz, the works in the exhibition are analyzed to explore the impact of alpine landscapes on the artist's work.
