"This book is a world premiere: Hattula Moholy-Nagy, the daughter of the artist and Bauhaus master László MOHOLY-NAGY, has opened her photo archive for this publication, 'Moholy Album' and for the first time MOHOLY-NAGY's album of photo contacts is closed see. This album was written between 1925 and 1937, between his time in Weimar and emigration to the USA. Laszlio MOHOLY-NAGY's photograms and photographs are among the most significant works of twentieth-century art and are icons of his distinctive New Vision movement - a spectacular new way of looking at the world and unshackling it with cameras.

With more than 1,000 photographs and illustrations, this book provides a whole new perspective on the photographer Laszlo MOHOLY-NAGY. On the basis of newly developed archive sources and the hitherto unknown 'Bilderfundus', various aspects of his photographic activities are explored: Laszlo MOHOLY-NAGY's travels through Europe; his activity as a lecture traveler and marketer of his own work; the interplay between film and photography against the backdrop of rediscovered footage.
