From a Female Perspective

In out-of-print photo volume 'Matriarchs', Austrian photographer Maria HAAS focuses on the investigation of cultures in which women have a special status. She opens these cultures to the viewer and captures their beauty and vitality in sensitive portraits

In her volume 'Displace', Johanna DIEHL deals with the architectural traces of an ongoing conflict on the island of Cyprus. Shedevelops a typology of a sacred architecture that has undergone dramatic change through vacancy, transformation and destruction.

In her out-of-print volume 'LAND', Dutch photographer Laura van SEVEREN expands the concept of landscape photography to include abstraction; In addition, their work includes an industrial-economic-critical aspect. This makes the work a relevant photo book

Out-of-print 'Projects Done' shows works by Candida HÖFER in unusual formats: Small-format of 'Zoological Gardens', 'The Citizens of Calais', 'On Kawara', or large images such as 'Türken in D.' and slides of '80 Pictures', shown with black on the pages.

In her photo volume titled 'Veiled. Too busy being awesome', Saskia AUKEMA deals with the niqab: the face veil. Here she shows a world that remains forever hidden from most. Interview fragments add depth to the photos, for which she was awarded in 2016.

In the photo book 'China Dream', which bears the name of a patriotic calendar, we take part in the study by exiled Chinese photographer Teresa ENG about the contrast between cultural knowledge about China and the reality of a country in constant change.
