GARCIA-ALIX, Alberto

The black and white photographs of this photo essay, 'Valparaiso' by Alberto GARCIA-ALIX, were taken between July 13 and August 2, 2015, during a residency for the International Festival of Photography in the Chilean town of Valparaiso.

'Photographs', published to accompany the Alberto GARCÍA-ALIX retrospective, contains B&W photographs from 1975 to 1997. In addition to included chronology, bibliography, and a selection of critical texts, it is supplemented by a series of reflections.

The out-of-print photo book 'From Where There Is No Return' on the work of Alberto GARCÍA-ALIX reproduces over 250 images that compose the ambitious project on which the Spanish photographer has been working for several years in Madrid, Paris and Beijing.
