Background information, personal statement by Regina ANZENBERGER
"It all - the trilogy, consisting of three photo volumes - started with one particular tree in the winter forest that caught my eye during one of my walks with my dog Shakeera. I kept returning there over an entire year and photographed the tree through every season. What especially fascinated me were the vines which elegantly wound themselves down to the ground from a branch, creating an image of endless bonds. With the forest as a source of inspiration and energy for all creativity, the roots and bonds became my theme." (Regina ANZENBERGER)
Content
Self published photo volume 'Roots & Bonds' by regina Maria ANZENBERGER contains forest images, 67 photographs and 9 drawings, where we accompany the photographer through the thicket. An atmospheric, quiet and artistic book - this is shown not only by the choice of images and book design, but also the choice of paper used: 'Munken Lynx 150 gr Cover Paper: Arctic Volume White 130 gr. Cover: 2 mm cupboard + 300 gr. grey carton. Book Cloth: Wicotex Brillianta BR14012'.
And so the book is surrounded by a meditative aura, matching the short texts that precede it: 'Do you recognize the mirror of your soul wandering through the thicket. The ray of the sun flashes through the water - and you have the feeling of pleasant fullness and emptiness at the same time. Letting go, emptiness and it fills up again with that energy you were looking for. Rising the thoughts and the inspirations, the creativity finds itself again.' (one of three cover texts)
