Background information
"Known for works that reference the intersection of culture and nature, Lukas FELZMANN's photobook 'Apophenia' takes a new direction as the Swiss photographic artist expands his repertoire through 'appropriation'. 'Apophenia' is a merging of two archives; one an archive of postcards sent to the artist's father, the other an archive of unpublished photographs by the artist. The juxtaposition leads to a surprising sequence of vertical images in which we travel from Europe through the USA to India." (© Verlag der Buchhandlung Walther König, 2018)
