Self portrait

'Revoir' by JH ENGSTRÖM is based on photo material from the mid-90s and beginning 2000s, the time of creation of his 'Trying to Dance'. At that time he questioned the meaning of photography for himself - positively answered by the freedom he experienced.

Lee FRIEDLANDER has explored self-portraiture throughout his career. What began as an unorthodox exploration of the genre has evolved into a masterful pursuit, as the photo volume 'In the Picture. Self-Portraits 1958-2011' shows in 400 duotone images.
