The black-and-white images in 'Distance' by Koji ONAKA show the weighty infrastructure of rail lines, roadways, and finally the worn down port where ships sit 'awaiting the next economic boom' (Jeffrey Ladd).

This book is signed and numbered (178/300). The title was first published by Mole in 1996 at the author's expense; this edition has been enriched with previously unreleased photographs. Publisher's pictorial blue wrappers, titles in white and orange to spine and front wrapper, in the glassine.
