Background information
The 'City Diary' photo book series is a joint publishing project between The Velvet Cell and award-winning German photographer Peter BIALOBRZESKI. Releasing approximately two books a year, each diary focuses on a single city, somewhere in the world, against the backdrop of a rapidly urbanising world. All books in the series maintain the same size, dimensions and page count. Minsk is the administrative capital of the 'Commonwealth of Independent States' (CIS). Between 1919 to 1991, after the Russian Revolution, Minsk was the capital of the Belorussian Soviet Socialist Republic, in the Soviet Union. The series for the 'Minsk Diary' was shot between 15th – 23th April 2018. It is the 13th installment in the City Diary series.
