About Japanese photographer, Issei SUDA (1940-2019)

Born in Tokyo, Issei SUDA graduated from the Tokyo College of Photography in 1962. He was hired as house photographer for the experimental theater troupe Tenjo Sajiki by Shuji TERAYAMA in 1967, before commencing his work as a freelance photographer in 1971. His works capturing moments between reality and non-reality have lately earned a high reputation also outside Japan.
