About the author and exhibition organizer Hans-Ulrich Obrist (*1968)
Hans-Ulrich Obrist was born in Weinfelden, Switzerland. For decades he has been considered one of the most important exhibition makers of the contemporary era and has curated exhibitions at the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, the Kunsthalle Wien, Hamburg's Deichtorhallen, and New York's PS1, among others. As director of the Serpentine Galleries in London, he has published numerous works and, as part of his 'Interview Project', has conducted conversations with artists such as John BALDESSARI, Zaha Hadid, Yoko Ono, Robert Crumb and Gerhard RICHTER, with whom Obrist has been friends for many years.
