About the American photographer, Tyler MITCHELL (b. 1995, in Atlanta)

Tyler MITCHELL  is an American photographer who grew up in Marietta, Georgia. He cites Ryan McGINLEY and Larry CLARK as early influences. His work has also been contextualized in reference to artists Kehinde Wiley, Jamel SHABAZZ, Nadine Ijewere, Dana Scruggs, and Campbell Addy. In 2015, he created and published his first book after visiting Havana, Cuba and went on to attend New York University Tisch School of the Arts for studying cinematography in film and television. He graduated in 2017. His work includes fashion photography, artistic photography, and film projects, which include autobiographical topics and themes of identity. Tyler MITCHELL is based in Brooklyn, New York.
