About German photographer Reiner METZGER (b.1957, in Simmerberg)

The photographer and musician Reiner METZGER was already intensively involved with the medium of photography during his school years and in the course of his subsequent music studies. From the very beginning, his focus was on black and white photography. From 1997 onwards, he worked exclusively with this artistic method. One of the central elements in Metzger's photographic work are long-term daytime shots.
