Background information
The photo volume 'CDG' by JH ENGSTRÖM documents his intensive study of the Charles De Gaulle Airport (CDG) in the French capital Paris. It was the first place that Swedish photographer JH ENGSTRÖM got to know as a 10-year-old when his parents moved to France. Since then, JH ENGSTRÖM has had a very special relationship with this place.
Content
The photographs in the photo volume, 'CDG' by JH ENGSTRÖM irritate the unprejudiced viewer, as they do not have the usual colorfulness, but are strangely removed: as if through a silvery curtain, JH ENGSTRÖM observes the processes at the airport, as if through surveillance cameras. Film stills conclude this unusual volume.
