Über den deutschen Fotografen Michael DANNER (*1967 in Reutlingen)

Michael DANNEr studierte Fotografie an der Fachhochschule Bielefeld und an der University of Brighton. In seinen künstlerischen Arbeiten verfolgt er einen politischen und anthropologischen Ansatz, in dem er umstrittene Orte und Geschichten untersucht. Die Arbeiten entstehen in Form von Fotografien und bewegten Bildern, die oft Archivmaterial und Text enthalten und zu vielschichtigen Systemen verwoben sind. Er hat bisher zwei Fotobücher veröffentlicht. Seit 2016 ist er Professor für Fotografie an der Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft, Berlin. Michael DANNER lebt und arbeitet in Berlin.
