In this 'Record' issue, 'No. 25, Japanese photographer Daido MORIYAMA presents his vision of Okinawa’s extraordinary light from his visit in 2013.

The black and white photographs of this photo essay, 'Valparaiso' by Alberto GARCIA-ALIX, were taken between July 13 and August 2, 2015, during a residency for the International Festival of Photography in the Chilean town of Valparaiso.

The out-of-print photographic volume 'Blackcelona' by Salvi DANÉS records a journey into the gray tones of urban polychromy, leading us through that chiaroscuro that engulfs the morphology of the city. It is an invitation to an aesthetic experience.

The selection made for this book, 'Photographs 1951-2000', shows why Shomei TOMATSU is regarded by almost all living Japanese photographers - including the stars of the scene like Nobuyoshi ARAKI or Daido MORIYAMA - as 'godfather' of Japanese photography.
