Background information
"The 'City Diaries' book series is a joint publishing project between an independent publisher and award-winning German photographer Peter BIALOBRZESKI. Each diary focuses on a single city, somewhere in the world, against the backdrop of a rapidly urbanizing world. Until today these diaries has been published about these worldwide cities (in chronological order): Cairo, Athens, Wolfsburg, Taipei, Kochi, Beirut, Wuhan, Zurich Budapest, Osaka, Dhaka, Yangon, Minsk, Belfast and Linz. Each diary focuses on a single city, somewhere in the world, against the backdrop of a rapidly urbanizing world. All books were designed by Andrea RAUSCHENBUSCH, the series maintain the same size and contain 51 double-page photographs as well as a diary text. The 'Dhaka Diary' series was shot between 21 February – 1 March 2019 and is the 11th installment in the City Diary book series.
