Background information
For many years now, Anders PETERSEN has focused his work on exploring cities. Or more precisely, he settles - often on assignment - in cities he enters and gets to know. So it is here, where he roams the streets and hills to discover the soul of this magical port city. 'Valparaiso' is a photographic essay created in 2014 during a residency organized by the Valparaíso International Photography Festival, FIFV. It was the Swedish photographer's first Latin American residency.

The photo book 'Valparaiso' by Anders PETERSEN consists of more than 40 black and white images, mostly full-page in portrait format or over two pages in landscape format. He describes life on the streets of the Cilenian port city, often getting very close to people and animals. The book design is by Dante MELLADO.
