Background information
In contrast to the city life of Tokyo in the 1970s, Yasuhiro OGAWA's scenarios take place in rural Japan, often with a direct reference to the sea.
Content
Taken between 2005 and 2013, the B&W photographs in the photo book 'Shimagatari' by photographer Yasuhiro OGAWA, born in 1968, are of great quality and relate to Japanese photography of the 1970s through their truthfulness and coarseness. Despite the darkness in the shots, there is also something light-hearted about the images.
