The volume 'Fabrik' by Jakob TUGGENER conveys a critical view of the destructive potential of unchecked technological progress at a time when the arms industry was producing weapons for war. The uncompromisingly subjective photography underlines his view.

The 80 b/w images in the book 'Paris' by Robert FRANK indicate how his experiences in the 'new world' have sharpened his eye: the city streets as a stage for human activity. The work clearly refers to Eugene ATGET and invokes the tradition of the flâneur.
