Background information
Eighty-eight years old Sven has spent his whole life in a small village nearby Stockholm in his fathers 1925 built house. "Through engagement with his life, the viewer becomes conscious of different existential aspects such as the passage of time and the choice individuals face in the course of a lifetime." The thirty-four color photographs in the photo volume 'Sven' by Peter de RU are showing his daily routine, surrounded by nature, fishing and his wooden house. Past, Present and future seem to coexist at the same time.

In 2018, the series 'Sven' by Peter de RU were selected for Hasselblad Center’s exhibition 'Published – Photo Books in Sweden', Gothenburg Museum of Art as well as for the exhibition 'Tell Me Your Truth', Panoràmic film and photo festival, Granollers, Barcelona, Spain 2020.
