Background information
"The volume 'Bye-bye, Belyn. In a village in Brandenburg' by Conny HÖFLICH shows young people in a small village in the Spreewald. The photographer was surprised that the young people did not necessarily want to leave their area. This experience contradicted what she had heard so far. She was shocked by the fact that the village no longer had any fixed shopping facilities or a fixed bus schedule.
She was impressed by the silence. This also inscribed itself in her pictorial style: a quiet book that invites you to contemplatively immerse yourself in the photographs and thus get a sense of life in the countryside." (© Ex pose Publishers, 2012)
