Background information and statement by the photographer, Ashok SINHA
"I love cars and I love Los Angeles because it's a city of cars. For about ten years I've been fascinated by LA's love story with automobiles, which dates back to a time when cars were still beauties. These cars have disappeared from the streets, but the buildings from that era are still standing. As an architectural photographer, I wanted to capture the optimism and ambitions of this city's special car culture, which is still reflected today in the multicolored, star-studded coffee shops, gas stations and car washes that used to be magically attracted the looks of the passing motorists."
