Background information
The photo volume 'Wait until the night is silent' by Iris ANDRASCHEK shows the self-determined, natural and alternative way of life of a group of people in Canada. The series from 2002 was created during an artist in residence stay in Durham, Ontario. In 2010 the artist will travel there again to complete this work and to photograph some of the protagonists and the location again at a certain time.
Content
The color images in the photo volume 'Wait until the night is silent' by Iris ANDRASCHEK created in 2002 and 2010 alternate between reality and fiction and show an almost fairytale communitas as a utopian alternative to the constraints of industrial societies with their work, leisure and consumption regimes." Additional information
There are two alternate versions of the photo volume 'Wait until the night is silent' by Austrian photographer, Iris ANDRASCHEK, an English version and another one in German language.
