The catalog 'Dancing with my camera' is the most comprehensive publication of Dayanita SINGH's art to date and includes numerous scholarly essays, color reproductions, and installation shots. The texts also included - by Michael Buhrs, Teju Cole, Cristophe Gallois, Kajri Jain, Ana Cristina Mendes, Clare Molloy, Ahona Palchoudhuri, Helena Pereña, Stephanie Rosenthal, Sabine Schmid, Thomas Weski, as well as Christoph Wiesner relate her work to topics such as Indian classical music, photographic tradition, the idea of the archive, choreography, and economies of reproduction. The publication presents all of the artist's major creative phases and enters Dayanita SINGH's archive to present, among others, never-before-seen early works from the 1980s, as well as a new series of montages or the works 'Let's see', 'Museum of Chance', 'Museum of Shedding', 'I am as I am', 'Go Away Closer' and 'Box 507'.Additional information
