In 'Fotografiegeschichte der Abstraktion' (Photographic history of abstraction), Kathrin Schönegg traces the history of photography: from the experimental beginnings in the 1830s, through (pseudo)scientific, applied & artistic contexts, to digitalization.

The images in 'Berlin' by Daisuke YOKOTA exhibit his signature experimental processing techniques whilst also demonstrating unconventional shooting methods like re-appropriating thermographic & infrared cameras and rendering the images onto analog film.

The images in 'Di sguincio' by Guido GUIDI represent experimental dialogues between him and his 35mm camera. Antidocuments & anachronistic records comment ironically on photography's claim to truth showing his preoccupation with the medium's possibilities

'The Italian Photobook 1931-1941' by Giorgio Grillo traces the short, intense history of (photo)graphic modernism in Italy - as a medium between autonomous visual research and a 'functional' use in the often overlapping areas of advertising & propaganda.

The out-of-print volume 'Matter / Burn Out' by Daisuke YOKOTA is a documentation of the exhibition of the same name in Xiamen, which was burned after its completion. This was documented, with the data processed, manipulated and revived to create this book

In 'Cut Outs' Jessica BACKHAUS consequently continues her path of abstraction already taken in photo volume 'A Trilogy' - using analog methods she creates and documents visual experimental arrangements, poetic choreographies of intense, sunlighted colors.

The images in self-published book 'False Friends' by Dominic TURNER play with the idea of information gaps & misunderstandings. They explore shadows & veils of a familiar but not quite recognizable world and challenge us to rethink our own interpretation.
