During the war and after its end, hundredthousands makeshift homes were built in Germany. In their self-published photo book 'Behelfsheim', HIRSCH & MEUSER document a type of house that has survived to this day and where post-war history becomes visible.

Published in newspaper format, '40 Jahre laif. 40 Positionen dokumentarischer Fotografie' is both an exhibit and a catalog of the exhibition of the same name, which celebrates the anniversary of the German photographers agency from Cologne.
