About the Swiss film producer Werner KUNZ (*1926 in Thun)

As early as 1948 Werner KUNZ became involved in the amateur film club of Geneva. During his time as a tour guide, he produced footage about Europe and Africa. In 1954, he began to show these short films in public halls and to enrich them with his own and other people's film material about naturism, which brought the cantonal pre-censorship authorities onto the scene. He appealed against the mostly negative decisions of the authorities in order to demonstrate the educational intent of his documentary naturist films. Where a ban was nevertheless imposed, he organized coaches to transport the audience to those cantons where the screening of his program was not prohibited. Werner Kunz released his first feature-length film in 1957.
