About the German photographer, Annette KELM (b. 1975, in Stuttgart)

Annette KELM studied at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts, where she graduated in 2000. She became known for her idiosyncratic color photographs, which are characterized by a documentary style interspersed with surrealistic and humorous touches, and whose range of motifs includes still life as well as portraits, architecture and landscape. In her works, she addresses cultural and socio-political aspects, whereby she is concerned with the disclosure of perceptual processes. She exhibits her photographs both as individual shots and as series of images. Annette KELM lives in Berlin.
