"The out-of-print volume 'Accept the Expected' provides an overview of works by the Iranian photographer Shirana SHAHBAZI from the years 2000 to 2005. It brings together excerpts from the various groups of works as well as previously unseen photographs. The individual photographs appear in a new arrangement: sorted by genre (portraits, landscapes, still lifes) and figures (mother & child, cities, birds, etc.). These categories are in turn discussed in short essays by authors from an art and cultural-historical perspective.
