About German photographer, Winfried BULLINGER (b. 1965, in Munich)

Winfried BULLINGER studied fine art, painting, at Berlin University of the Arts (UDK) from 1988 to 1993 in the class of Prof. Wolfgang Petrick. He was appointed Master Student at the UDK in 1993. In his photographic work Winfried Bullinger focuses on the human condition. For his longterm projects since the 1980’s, he has been traveling to different parts of Africa - Ethiopia, Sudan, South Sudan, Chad, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Ruanda, Cameroon, Libya and the Central African Republic. The photographs in the series are made with a large format analog camera on black and white film. Winfried BULLINGER lives and works in Berlin and Potsdam, Germany.
