Über den britischen Magnum-Fotografen, Fotobuch(mit)herausgeber sowie Autor Martin PARR (*1952)

Martin PARR studierte von 1970 - 1973 Fotografie in Manchester. Er provoziert, indem er alltägliche Klischees fotografiert. Dabei hält er geschmackliche Entgleisungen fest und zeigt das Hässliche, das üblicherweise als Bildmotiv vermieden oder retuschiert wird und dokumentiert vor allem die britische Alltagskultur. Von 2013 bis 2017 war er Präsident von Magnum Photos.
