This out-of-print new edition of the 1965 monograph 'The Flame of Recognition' about American photographer Edward WESTON contains a cross-section of his work, with portraits and nature photographs as well as texts from his diaries and letters.

Tony VACCARO'S visual diary a young GI from and after World War II. The photos in black and white of the later fashion photographer - e.g. the famous image of the dead soldier covered with snow - are combined with the war experiences described by himself.
