'Town of C' by Richard ROTHMAN is a meditation on what lies beneath the surface of U.S. culture, seen through the lens of a small southern Colorado town. it is in the tradition of socially critical photo books by Walker EVANS, Robert FRANK & Robert ADAMS.

'Allerseelen' by Alexander BINDER brings together a phantasmagoria of mystical images. He has seamlessly managed to blend crystal rainbows with even the most arcane and dark twilights and thus once again constructing a world of haunting beauty & mysticism

'Family Car Trouble' plays with the form of the novel, both material and narrative, to illustrate the inner workings of the photographer. The recordings document arrival and departure as well as the maintenance of a difficult 1993 Volvo 940 station wagon.

'Krystyna's World', includes 37 color photographs by Todd HIDO, both published and previously unpublished material, from intimate photos to succinct large format images. The Khrystyna model can always be seen in the various scenes, hence the book title.

'Jenny, Jenny' is not documentary: ZIELONY avoids the journalistic impetus for certainty & truth. To him, the authenticity of the subject is as relevant as the question of the objectivity of the documentary image: both are never free of dramatic elements.

In his photo volume 'Songbook', the US-American Magnum photographer Alec SOTH shows images detached from their news context and in them reveals the longing for connection to one's own roots. The photo book title was printed in three editions.

Adolescence is the subject of the photographic volume 'Bärenmädchen' (Bear Girls) by German photographer Ute BEHREND. She tells the story of a fictional 'Indian tribe' that separates its adolescent girls and draws parallels to our society.

'Things here and things still to come' by José Pedro CORTES is interspersed with landscape and detailed views of the city of Tel Aviv - old cars, overgrown palm trees, colonnades, puddles of water. The book is included in 'Photobook: A History, VOL.III'.

From the point of view of Hartford graduate Matt EICH, photography is the only antidote to amnesia against the knowledge of the damage we cause ourselves. The photo book 'Carry Me Ohio' is his love song for the exploited Apalachian state of Ohio.

In addition to a personal reappraisal, 'The Last Son' by Jim GOLDBERG is a story about perseverance, family dynamics and the struggle to exceed expectations. To do this, the photographer sifts through his archive, which consists of various image sources.

The photo volume 'Niagara' by Alec SOTH is less about the natural wonder than the human desires associated with this place. They were taken with a large-format 8x10 camera over the course of two years on both the American and Canadian sides of the Falls.

In the out-of-print 'Gathered Leaves' box contains long unavailable Alec SOTH titles 'Sleeping by the Mississippi', 'Niagara', 'Broken Manual' & 'Songbook' as miniature volumes. In addition, 28 color prints with the most famous images are also a part.

'The Wedding' by Boris MIKHAILOV contains a photo series of a simulated wedding between two homeless people, in the midst of their own environment. It is bound in imitation of a traditional wedding album, with imitation leather and gold embossed lettering

The book 'Between Maple and Chestnut' by Terri WEIFENBACH is about the idyllic home - starting point in the 'American somewhere'. Through the use of selective focus & shallow depth of field, the photographer enters a space between painting & photography.

This fictional story by the Belgian photographer immerses the reader in a nocturnal, mysterious atmosphere and shows childhood from an unusual perspective: not carefree and light-heartedness, but gravity and secrets, which also contain this phase of life.

'Two Rivers' offers an extended view on the works of Joachim BROHM & Alec SOTH. In addition to the juxtaposition of 'Ruhr' & 'Sleeping by the Mississippi', it also contains also groups 'Ohio', 'Dessau Files' & 'Culatra' as well as 'Songbook' & 'Niagara'.

Out-of-print 'The Disappearance of Joseph Plummer' by Amani WILLETT, explores our human desire to escape to find peaceful solitude, far from the burdens of modern society. The series is completed by collages made of historical portrait & landscape images.

The color photographs in the book 'Lana' by Terri WEIFENBACH were taken in same named small Italian village in the mountains of South Tyrol. The American photographer creates images that breathtakingly, dream-like & enchanting memories of hazy summer days

In 'Don't Fade to Grey', Olaf UNVERZART creates images that raise subtle, melancholic questions. His coarse-grained b/w images, taken with analog cameras, associate both transience & openness. It was designed by the award-winning designer Andreas TÖPFER.

The story is amusing, but only at first glance, because it is based on the fact that no one believes that Africa will ever reach the moon. Around fifty years later, Spanish photographer Cristina DE MIDDEL brought history back to light ...

American photographer Todd HIDO's out-of-print photography book 'Excerpts from Silver Meadows' unfolds a fictional cosmos in real images of his own home in Kent, Ohio, consisting of atmospheric landscape shots and buildings in an American somewhere.

For 'Hundert', Olaf UNVERZART returns to his Upper Palatinate home to portray the one hundredth year of his grandmother's life. The photographer unfolds the reality of his protagonist's life in intimate close-ups of the centenarian and landscape images.

Out-of-print book 'Afghanistan' by Steve McCURRY shows photos taken since 1979, when he traveled there to report on the fight of the Mujahideen against Soviet occupiers and troops loyal to the government. For that he received the 'Robert Capa Gold Medal'.

'Devil's Promenade' by DOLEZAL & SHIPLEY is about returning to their home region in the Midwest of the USA, a journey into the dense forests where anything can happen: either bathing in the light of salvation or facing the devil in the deepest darkness.
