Manaltered landscape

The photographic volume 'Inhabitants' by prominent U.S. photographer Raymond MEEKS is the result of an artist residency, which will be exhibited in New York and Paris. The series is combined by a detailed poem by George Weld.

Based on a classic landscape tradition, carefully composed 5x4 photographs are given a special effect by increasing the color & composition. Especially in moments when the expected narrative is roughly often gross due to pollution or destruction of nature

'African Studies' by Edward BURTYNSKY is about the overexploitation of the planet in Africa. The series 'China in Africa' with interiors of newly built gigantic production facilities show the disturbing reality of the far-reaching depletion of resources.

Photo book 'Autobahn' by Berlin based Ostkreuz photographer Jörg BRÜGGEMANN contains color photographs of German motorways that were taken between 2014 and 2019. It questions the present and future significance of the achievement from the Weimar Republic.
