'Icaro' by Irene ZOTTOLA was created from leaves of a found encyclopedia, selected fragments of a novel and photographic prints made in the darkroom with liquid emulsion. The project aims to establish a parallel between bird flight and human life journey.

'Jenny, Jenny' is not documentary: ZIELONY avoids the journalistic impetus for certainty & truth. To him, the authenticity of the subject is as relevant as the question of the objectivity of the documentary image: both are never free of dramatic elements.

In 'The Screw', Akihito YOSHIDA shows people who make the 'screws' of ships in small workshop in Bangladesh. They work together to create a cold, hard metal by pouring molten red liquid, like magma, into the pitch-black ground, covered with iron sand.

Haunting, distorted and otherworldly images in the out-of-print volume 'Site/Cloud' epitomizes the approach of Daisuke YOKOTA to pushing the development process & possibilities of analog image making, introducing imperfections and visual noise into them.

For his out-of-print book 'Outskirts', Daisuke YOKOTA explores the boundaries between digital & analog photography. He uses color images from the outskirts of Tokyo - pictures of cars, trees & buildings - whose colors he then reverses into the monochrome.

'Yashi no mi' by Miho YOKOCHI is a photo report about her travels to coastal cities in Japan - in the tradition of Tamiko NISHIMURA, who traveled to the Tohoku, Hokuriku, Kanto, Kansai and Chugoku in the 1970s and published her series as a photo book, too

The book 'Hayal & Hakitat' by Cemre YESIL shows the hands of Turkish prisoners from early 20th century Turkey and are from the photo albums of Abdul Hamid II, the 34th Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. It consists of two parts that can be viewed side by side.

'Malanka' by Yelena YEMCHUK deals with a folklore ritual celebrated by ethnic Romanians in western Ukraine. She visited the village of Krasnoilsk to photograph the local Malanka. The photo series is personal, feminine, surreal and surrounded by magic.

'The Best Days' by Seung-Woo YANG is an early work, photographed between 1999 to 2006 during his studies in Tokyo. Driven by the suicide death of his comrade, he documented his life trajectory and people around him while he traveled between Japan & Korea.

Out-of-print book '404 not found' by Li YANG deals with an abandoned place in Poeple's republic of China. It contains images of the city, which was once designed as a research base and was home to up to 50,000 people at times, taken around the year 2000.

The out-of-print photographic volume '10 Days in Krakow' by Yuan-yuan YANG is a travelogue and scrapbook in one. It is structured in three chapters and consists of snapshots, diary entries and found or taken during the stay in the (Polish) city of Krakow.

The photo volume 'Untitled' by Shin YANAGISAWA is a powerful book that can be fully enjoyed for its delicate, yet coherent composition. 27 years passed since the last publication of a title by this Japanese photographer until this volume was republished.
