This version of the book 'EIN-HEIT' (U-NI-TY) is a re-edit. Originally published in 1996, Michael SCHMIDT investigated the question of 'unity', tracing the symbolism & iconography of political systems, their propaganda & the images of people they project.

'Living Apart' by Magnum member Ian BERRY includes work from the 1960s for Drum magazine as well as key moments from the 1990s during the collapse of apartheid: the rise of Mandela, reconciliation, & the alarming escalation of urban problems and violence.

'Alison' includes a body of self-portraits. Beginning in 1970s in b/w, evolving into an exuberant, colorful, and obsessive practice. A singular, long-term exploration with beautiful, hilarious, enigmatic, heartbreakingly sad photos, sometimes all at once.
