Robert CAPA is considered to be the founder of photojournalism. His impressive photos of the Spanish Civil War made the passionate opponent of war world over night famous. In addition to most famous works, this portfolio also presents rediscovered images.

This anthology contains 160 pictures by ninety female photographers to answer the question of whether there is a 'female gaze' in photography. The focus is on the four major subject areas of social reality, family, female body and virtual reality.

Photo volume 'Private Views. A Highrise Panorama of Manhattan' by Andi SCHMIED provides views from the tallest buildings in Manhattan, for example over Central Park, or from the bathroom in Calacatta Tucci marble with a view of the Empire State Building.

The narrow band 'summer days. Peace Days' contains a selection from films that Robert CAPA exposed on his last visits to Berlin in the summer of 1945. New prints made from the original negatives in 1986 were used as a model for reproduction.

In addition to the famous photos by war photographer Robert CAPA, this catalog volume 'Retrospective' shows some unpublished photos such as those from the Tour de France, 1939. Numerous artist portraits round off the picture of a surprisingly diverse work

In addition to works selected by Eva BESNYÖ herself, the out-of-print volume contains previously never shown works with motifs from Budapest, Berlin, Brussels, Paris, Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Milan with attention to light, shadow, cropping and line play.
