David HILLIARD ist ein Kunstfotograf, der hauptsächlich mit Panoramafotografien arbeitet. Er lässt sich bei seinen Motiven von seinem persönlichen Leben und seinem Umfeld inspirieren. Viele der Szenen sind inszeniert und evozieren eine performative Qualität, einen Mittelweg zwischen Fakt und Fiktion. Er erhielt seinen MFA von der Yale University im Jahr 1994. David HILLIARD lebt in Boston, Massachusetts, und Maine.
