About German photographer, Kai WIEDENHÖFER (b. 1966, in Schwenningen)

Kai WIEDENHÖFER studied photojournalism at the Folkwangschule in Essen and Arabic in Damascus. He has been working in the Middle East since 1989. He works for the Lookat Photos agency in Zurich and has received numerous awards, most recently the Alexia Grant, the World Press Award, the Leica Medal of Excellence and the W. Eugene Smith Grant in Humanistic Photography. Kai WIEDENHÖFER lives in Berlin.
