About the Swedish photographer Lars TUNBJÖRK (1956-2015).

Lars TUNBJÖRK started his photographic career at the newspaper Stockholms-Tidningen. He later published in other newspapers before making his international breakthrough with his photo volume 'Landet utom sig/Country beside itself'. The photo volumes 'Office/Kontor' as well as 'Home' completed the trilogy in which he critically documented the commercialization of the Swedish welfare state. His photos are especially featured in the New York Times magazine. In 2004 he received the World Press Photo Award in the category 'Arts and Entertainment: Stories'. For his volumes 'Home' soiwe 'I love Boras' he was awarded the PHotoEspaña in 2003 and the German Photo Book Award in 2008 respectively. Lars TUNBJÖRK passed away in 2015 at the age of only 59.
