About the photographer Helge TSCHARN

In the 1980s, Helge TSCHARN joins the ranks of the most influential skateboard photographers in Europe, documenting the scene to which he belongs. He photographs Claus Grabke, Lance Mountain, Ray Barbee, Tony Hawk and many others. Architecture plays an important role in his photography. The skateboarder in the urban environment - at the same time organic component, lone fighter and foreign body - is the major theme of many Tscharn photos from the 1990s.
