Roswitha HECKE's b/w shots of transvestites from the 'Pigalle' district in Paris in their diagonally cut blouses, bell bottoms and cheap Charleston dresses from Monoprix are blown with an aura of shabby glamor, poverty, melancholy and a zest for life.

In their volume 'Look at me like you love me' Jess T. DUGAN reflects on desire, intimacy, society and how our identities are shaped by these experiences. A highly personal collection of portraits, couples and still lifes, interwoven with diary-like notes.

Through frank and intimate photographic representations, the photo volume, 'Only Half the Story', by Zanele MUHOLI inspires a deeper understanding of the female form, skin color and different sexualities in a way that is unprecedented in South Africa.

In her rare, out-of-print volume 'Dildo', published in a very limited edition of only 55 copies, Japanese photographer Momo OKABE accompanies her friends in their transformation from woman to man. She developed her intimate, artistic photographs by hand.

'MARVEL' by Marvel HARRIS describes the journey of his personal battles with mental illness, self-love, acceptance, and gender identity, all told through a searing collection of self-portraits spanning the course of five years. MACK First Book Award 2021.

The book 'Glitter Blues' by Lorenzo CASTORE deals with transvestites in Catania, Sicily. This black & white and color series shows urban motifs as well as interiors and portraits. Two essays in English close the book, which is designed by Aneta KOWALCZYK.

'Glitter in My Wounds' by Adam BROOMBERG includes portraits of transgender activist Gersande Spelsberg. Together they took 100 photos shot on 4x5-inch negatives and lit only with the sun and mirrors - as for 'Metamorphosis through Light' by Helmar LERSKI.
