The color photographs by German photographer Andrea DIEFENBACH testify to calm, sometimes whimsical observations as well as great empathy for Moldova and its people's attitude to life. In their unagitatedness, the pictures adapt to the tempo of Moldovan everyday life, which oscillates between upheaval and stagnation. The photo volume 'Realitatea' contains photographic vignettes from a country in a state of limbo as well as facsimiles of Moldovan newspapers and texts that place the photographs in the context of the political events of the past ten years."
