Background information
"Dirk ALVERMANN is one of the best-known German photographers of the post-war decades. He became known through his photo reports and books about the freedom struggle in Algeria and about people across Europe, including his hometown of Dusseldorf. In his work, he networks politics, social and private matters and illustrates the upheavals and disruptions of urban processes in post-war history. In the photo volume 'Dirk ALVERMANN.
