Peter KEETMAN, member of the group fotoform founded in 1949 and representative of subjective photography around Otto STEINERT, is one of the most important personalities of German photography.
KEETMAN attended the Munich Photo School from 1935 to 1937, where he also completed the master class after the end of the war.
He already made a name for himself with his innovative freelance work and worked successfully on behalf of, among others, Bahlsen, Hipp, Lindt, Stollwerck, Gubor and Erdal.
The narrow photobook 'fotoform' combines important photographs from the 40s, which ia. to document the destroyed Munich and the busy street life of the postwar period. Parallel to this, there are examples of works of great artistic value, including many world-famous photographs such as photographs from the Volkswagen factory (1953), oil drops (1956) and pipes (1958).
All in all, 'fotoform' provides a good overview of KEETMAN's work until the 1980s - but only with German text (three pages).
