In his tireless search, LEMPERT has already created a large image archive. His interest in nature is complemented by his extensive research into the properties and materiality of the photographic image. His photographs are resistant to any categorization.

Small, out-of-print photo book on the occasion of an exhibition in the Museum Ludwig, Cologne. It contains the series 'Drift' exhibited there with b/w photographs of a sequence that is made during an eruption of the Stomboli volcano on an Italian island.

Photo artist Jaakko KAHILANIEMI owns 100 ha of forest. With his conceptual project '100 Hectares of Understanding' he tries to better understand his forest area and to show new ways of thinking and methods of how one can experience and feel the forest.

The limited editon photographic volume 'After the Snowstorm' by Yasunori SAITO, produced in Japanese binding, shows white areas within individual plants rising from the snow. The pictures were taken in the northernmost part of Japan, in Hokkaido.

Magnum photographer Sebastião SALGADO traveled the Brazilian Amazon for six years and photographed the incomparable beauty of this unique region: the rainforest, the rivers, the mountains as well as the people living there - irreplaceable for mankind.
