Statement by the photographer, Koji ONAKA
"Perhaps no one has taken their photo before. They're not that exciting and such a common sight, but I know that they are lovely. I wish them good luck!" (© Koji ONAKA, 2013)
Content, critical statement
In my opinion is Koji ONAKA's note at the end of his book 'Lucky Cat' a wonderful under-statement. Certainly, his color photographs are more like images of ordinary places and situations. But would you agree with when I would say: 'Isn't Koji ONAKA the only legitimate, Japanese successor to Stephen SHORE'?
