Background information
"With his five films made in the USSR, including 'Andrei Rublyov', 'Solaris' as well as 'Stalker', Andrei TARKOVSKY (1932-1986) became internationally famous. After shooting 'Nostalghia' (1983, in Tuscany), he did not return to Russia. He shot his last film, 'Victim', in Sweden in 1985. This volume, made in cooperation with his son Andrei Tarkovsky, is a tribute to a great visionary who thought in poetic, often disturbing images of almost biblical force.Content
